Well with Matt on hiatus, we have had the pleasure of Platinum Blonde's own Justin "Juice" Kadis sit in on drums for our last 3 shows.  Having Juice play live has brought the songs full circle as he was the drummer on the original Butterfly Tongue recordings.  In August, we had the privilege of playing one our favourite venues once again - Bracebridge Hall.  Above is a pic backstage just before we went on.   We performed to a packed house and can't thank everyone enough for all your support, especially all those who drove up from Orillia (there hasn't been a proper venue for a full rock band since the pandemic began).  With the band not playing for a full year and having Juice sit in for the first time, the show really had such a special energy for us.  To be honest, at the time we thought it might be our last show playing together.Funny how things work, we were ready to move on to other things, then this happens!!  On September 17th, we were so incredibly honoured to be invited to play the Roots North Music Festival Revisited at Fern Resort.  The best part was it was a fundraiser for the Orillia Youth Centre with ALL proceeds going to the Youth Centre.  A huge thank you to Kevin for the invite and to everyone involved in making the event happen, along with the incredibly talented artists we got to play with Ron Hawkins (from Lowest of the Low) and Billy the Kid. Kevin puts on several fundraising events every year for the community and deserves such unbelievable praise for doing such a first class and succesful job time and time again.  It's a huge win not only for the charities and the community as a whole, but also the opportunity and support for the artists who get to perform and for the ticket purchasing audience who are always entertained while knowing their expenses for the evening went to such a great cause.

Lastly,  in October we had the privilege of playing an outdoor show in Downtown Barrie at the Meridian Centre for a street festival called Open Air Dunlop.  We lucked out with such beautiful weather and had a lot of fun performing in my second home of Barrie.  So thankful to Inside the Music & HeyBear Productions for the opportunity.
